How do I file a law suit for libel and slander in Florida?
Q. Some people that I know defamed my reputation by spreading vicious rumors about me and making false police reports about things I never did. They even used those false police reports to get a restraining order against me so now my reputation is really bad. I can't even get a job because of it. I can't afford to hire a attorney.

A. if you cannot do these 2 things you shouldnt even bother. If you cannot prove what they said about you was specifically false, dont bother. If you CAN prove what they said about you is specifically false, but CANNOT prove, with cause, how what they said about you hurt you, than dont bother. if you can do all of the above, then you have to consult a lawyer, they can give u guidelines (try legal aid at a university) on how to file suit

Defamation, Slander, Libel, does Statues of Limitations in MI start when the act occur or when you realize it?
Q. Best answer will receive the points. Only attorneys or someone who has a lot of knowledge like one only answer this question. Thanks

A. Obviously we do not make laws based on realizations... It is ALWAYS based on when the ACT occurred!

How can I sue someone for defamation, libel?
Q. If I confided in someone in my deep dark secret and then they post it on the internet, can I sue them and say it's not true when it has to do with something that can't be proven to be true? How does it work? They've made exaggerations that are really really bad and completely untrue.

A. Open QuestionShow me another !) IF you are 'Determined' to 'SUE', then the FIRST thing you will 'need' is a GOOD (and "I" don't KNOW ANY) 'Lawyer'!!! How can I sue someone for defamation, libel? If I confided in someone in my deep dark secret and then they post it on the internet, can I sue them and say it's not true when it has to do with something that can't be proven to be true? How does it work? YOU do NOT want to have to 'DEFEND' yourself!!! ANYONE, can 'accuse' you of ANYTHING! IF, and again: "IF" you try to 'DEFEND' against ALL 'attacks', you will be in a 'constantly' "back-pedalling" position!! THAT is "NOT" the 'POSITION' that WE want to be IN!!! Ok...Let's SEE who GOT this... and has the 'K's to respond! !!! Bill… [cont.]
