UsesIn describing a person or machine, idle means the act of nothing or no work (for example: "John Smith is an idle person"). This is a person who spends his days doing nothing could be said to be "idly passing his days." (For example: Mary has been idle on her instant messenger account for hours.) A computer processor or communication circuit is described as idle when it is not being used by any program, application or message. (See available line.) Similarly, an engine of an automobile may be described as idle when it is running only to sustain its running (not doing any useful work), this is also called the tickover (see idle). Idleness as dependent upon cultural normsTypically, when one describes a machine as idle, it is an objective statement regarding its current state. However, when used to describe a person, idle typically carries a negative connotation, with the assumption that the person is wasting their time by doing nothing of value. Such a view is reflected in the proverb "an idle mind is the devil's workshop". Also, the popular phrase "killing time" refers to idleness and can be defined as spending time doing nothing in particular in order that time seems to pass more quickly. You might be having problems with the battery, or it could be some kind of weird glitch. A good tester is to create a new account. Log into that account instead of your usual one. Let it go to sleep, then try waking it up like you usually do. If it doesn't have the same problem you've been having, it might be something wrong with your preference panes. It can be a real pain to find the file that's creating the issue, so if this is the case, reply with some details. However, if it has the same issue, it's most likely a fussy battery. The league I'm running is a keeper's league, so I chose the "offline draft" option, and then went ahead and told the league page that the draft had been completed already. This way I could post every team's roster and they could see who all was on their team as well as everyone else's team. Q. i have a stihl weedeater. model FS-52. there is a H and L idle screw. the problem i am having is that i can start the w/e(weedeater) with the choke on and then take it off once it starts but i will run with choke off for a lil bit then die. i am thinking my fuel mixture is to rich. but when i rev it up the smoke clears up inferring to me that the mixture ISNT to rich. any suggestions on how to turn the two screws? which direction? how far? do NOT tell me to buy something...you do me no good... you dont walk into a convienent store for directions to get told to buy a map... wth are you thinking?? Air screw is spring loaded and fuel adjustment is a simple screw,Screw in(clockwise) the air screw and the speed will rev.up until you reach max.Then turn clockwise on the fuel screw until the machine almost die off then quickly back up (anticlockwise)1 1/2 to 1 3/4 turns.Finally back off(anticlockwise) the air screw until the ideal speed is attained.
